Eight vehicles in the Heritage Lakes subdivision were reportedly entered between the night of Saturday, January 26 and the early morning of Sunday, January 27. Some of the vehicles appeared to have only been rummaged through, while others had property stolen from them. Small electronics, such as a camera, an IPod, and a GPS unit, were among the items reported as stolen. According to each of the victims, the vehicles had been left unsecured and no sign of forced entry was found on any vehicle.
One victim was able to provide investigators with video surveillance footage from his home that reportedly shows an unknown subject pulling on the door handle of the victim’s vehicle. While the video quality makes it difficult to identify distinguishing characteristics, investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the possible identity of this individual to contact either Investigator Cpl. W. Conant at 843-255-3424 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC (274-6372) or text the word TIPSC with a message to CRIMES (274637).
