Philip Moultrie (2006): On August 31, 2006, just shy of midnight while driving on Bruce K. Smalls Drive, 31-year-old Philip Moultrie was shot at by unknown suspects, shattering the rear glass. He parked the vehicle and exited, then was shot multiple times according to his passenger. Moultrie later succumbed to his wounds at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
