Drugs, firearms seized during search of a Bluffton apartment Posted on February 5, 2018 by S Y WoodsFebruary 5, 2018 An investigation into illegal sales of drugs by a Bluffton man led Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office investigators to obtain warrants for his arrest and to search his apartment. Early Monday morning, February 5, investigators served the search warrant on 35-year-old Sean Evans at his Vista View apartment in Bluffton, where they found him inside. Evans was taken into custody on the active arrest warrants, while investigators searched his apartment. During the search warrant, investigators seized one assault rifle, one long rifle, numerous schedule II drugs (Methylphenidate Hydrochloride, Dexmethylphenidate and Adderall), cocaine and approximately three pounds of marijuana. Following the search warrant, Sean Evans was transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and incarcerated. In addition to two counts of Sale and Distribution of Marijuana and one count of Sale and Distribution of a Schedule II Drug, Evans was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Drug, Possession of a Schedule II Drug and Possession of Cocaine. As of late Monday afternoon, Evans remained incarcerated at the Detention Center and had not received a bond hearing on any of his eight charges.
